RETREAT AND RELAX
Only 2.5miles from Dulverton, set in its own secluded valley down a half mile track and surrounded by woods and fields, Streamcombe has a rare peace and tranquility rarely experienced. A unique place, situated on the borders of Somerset, Devon and Exmoor National Park. Exmoor is a truly beautiful part of England, and remains somewhat unknown and off the beaten track. Home to wild ponies, red deer and birds of prey, Exmoor provides walkers and cyclists a remote haven to enjoy real open spaces, wildlife and wonderful scenery.

UNWIND
There are three beautiful double rooms all with contemporary ensuite bathrooms, Egyptian cotton towels, Turkish bedlinen and luxury toiletries. The guest sitting room and conservatory provide ample space to relax and enjoy your stay. A log fire in the lounge creates a lovely atmosphere for the colder months, whilst the garden provides numerous picnic spots and hidden areas for reading or strolling in the summer.

Our food is part of what will make your stay at Streamcombe so special. Breakfasts can be as traditional or as unusual as you like - featuring the finest local sausages and bacon, eggs from our own hens, toasted sourdough bread, homemade jam, and in the summer, raspberries from our garden made into a delicious smoothie or added to your breakfast pancakes, dripping with maple syrup for a special treat.

The best local, seasonal and wild ingredients feature in our tempting, modern menus created and prepared for you by resident chef Ian Jarmarkier. Ian`s outstanding knowledge and passion for food is evident in every dish and he is always on hand to share that knowledge with you.

COOKERY COURSES
For those of you feeling inspired, we will shortly be publishing dates for our autumn 2010 cookery course programme.  So you have the opportunity to combine a stay at Streamcombe with some time spent honing your culinary skills.  Further details can be found on our Cookery Course page.

OUT AND ABOUT
A challenging footpath leads directly from the garden to Dulverton, across fields and streams, and revealing some outstanding views of Somerset.

We can organise fly fishing on the Rivers Barle and Exe, horseriding on the moors for all levels of experience. Exmoor is of course perfect for walking and cycling, plus sailing and windsurfing are available nearby at Wimbleball Lake.  The best beaches for swimming and surfing are at the award winning Putsburough Beach at Woolacombe Bay, approximately 1 hour`s drive away.
