the gourmet bed and breakfast
A luxury bed and breakfast, situated on the borders of Somerset, Devon & Exmoor National Park, offering evening dinner and bespoke cookery courses.
A perfect venue for relaxing, romantic breaks and family and friend get-togethers.
Originally an Exmoor hill farm, Streamcombe is tucked away in a secluded valley 2 miles from the town of Dulverton. It is a very peaceful location surrounded by woods, fields and amazing wildlife such as the Red Deer who are seen frequently in the fields along our driveway.
There are three beautiful double rooms all with contemporary ensuite bathrooms, Egyptian cotton towels, Turkish bedlinen and luxury toiletries.
Freesat TV, radio alarm clocks, hairdriers and hot drink facilities are provided in each room.
The Stable bedroom can also be a twin bedded room, situated on the ground floor it is ideal for older children or people with reduced mobility.
The Hayloft has a tiny sundeck off the bedroom, a beautiful afternoon sun trap.
BREAKFAST is served in the conservatory. With sausages from Farthings Farm Shop, bacon from butchers Gerald David, both in Dulverton, and with our own free range eggs our cooked breakfasts get rave reviews.
Or if your prefer, we also offer a wide range of other delights, from pancakes and fresh fruit smoothies, to omelettes, pastries and cereals. All whilst enjoying the view across the valley.
Our evening dinner menus offer an interesting selection of contemporary and classic dishes, featuring the best local and seasonal produce. Plus, we bake our own bread daily - the Streamcombe Sourdough. You can read more on our Evening Dinner page.
For those of you in the mood for a bit of cooking, have a look at our programme of cookery workshops for 2013. Courses include a Fish Cookery, Seasonal Insiration, Culinary Techniques and our very popular Breamaking days.
Bespoke 'Cook & Stay' packages are available for small groups of friends to explore new skills -taste and techniques in food preparation, wine tasting and menu creation being the most popular requests. End the day banquet style followed by a night in our beautiful barn accommodation and breakfast the next morning.
